Faculties and Students Attended ASIS&T 2020

Faculties and students from our school attended The 83rd Annual Meeting of The Association for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T 2020), which was held online from October 22th to November 1st, 2020.

ASIS&T is sponsored by the International Association of Information Science and Technology. As the top international conference in the field of information science and technology, it aims to promote research in the fields of information, people, and technology in today’s society.

Guangchun Zheng and Zelong Zhao, two students from the school, presented their paper titled “Social Media Users’ Behavior of Setting Limits in Information Sharing: A Heuristic Study Based on WeChat Moments.”

Dr. Yan Hui, an associate professor from ouur school, co-organized the workshop entitled “ICT4D and Empowered Growth Capability: How Does the Information Field Work?”. The workshop addresses how the information professionals, especially librarians, can contribute to the community Information and Communications Technologies for Development (ICT4D).
