From December 15 to 16, the 9th China Electronic Records Management Symposium was held in the China Science and Technology Hall.

The theme of the Symposium is: “Digital Transformation—Electronic Records Management under the Background of the National Informatization Strategy”. The main content of the Symposium is the interpretation of the requirements of National Development Strategy for electronic records management, the opportunity of the electronic records single-track system management, the electronic records management of the government and institutions, the discussion of the electronic records preservation practice of the Archives, and the development trend of electronic records management,etc.

Participants of the Symposium are: Ni Guangnan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, member of the party group of the China Association for Science and Technology, Secretary of the Secretariat; Fu Hua, Deputy Director of National Archive Administration of China; Yu Chuanbin, Deputy Director of the Office of the Joint International Conference of the State Administration of Electronic Records and Deputy Director-General of the State Cryptography Administration; Zheng Shuiquan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of RUC; Wang Jinzhan, Director of the Office of the China Association for Science and Technology; Deng Xiaojun, Secretary General of the Society of Chinese Archives(SCA); Sun Wenlong, Chairman of the Electronic Documents and Records Management Promotion Alliance and Vice President of China Electronics Standardization Institute; Chai Dehua, Deputy Director of the Information Center of General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China; Liu Bing, Director of the Electronic Records Management Department of the Information Center of General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Peng Hong, Deputy Director.

On the morning of the 15th, Professor Zhang Bin chaired the conference. In this session, the report focused on the theme of the symposium and delivered a directional explanation from different perspectives.

In this session, Professor Feng Huiling first delivered a presentation titled "Towards Single track system of Electronic Records Management”.

Professor Liu Pinxin, Renmin University of China Law School, delivered a presentation titled "Viewing Electronic Records Legislation from the New Trends of Intelligence and Rule of Law".

On the afternoon of the 15th, Professor Li Zefeng, Director of Information Management Center of Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Industry Management, chaired the conference. In this session, the reports focused on the government sector and the industry sector, with the speakers mainly coming from government agencies and industry authorities.

On the morning of the 16th, Professor Liu Yuenan chaired the conference. Professor Liu Yuenan summarized the overall structure of the forum and briefly introduced the main contents of this session. This session was mainly concerned about the enterprise sector, with four speakers introducing the management of enterprise electronic records.

In this session, Professor Qian Yi delivered a presentation titled "Elements Analysis of Monorail Electronic Record Management Based on Capability Maturity Model".

SIRM was awarded the Excellent Organization for Student’ Social Practice of RUC in 2018

On December 19, 2018, the review meeting on Students' Social Practice Activities was held at 800people conference room in RUC, the theme is "40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up: Pursuing the Footprint of Reform". School of Information Resource Management was awarded the Excellent Organization for Student Social Practice of RUC in 2018. Graduate Student Yao Shengnan delivered a speech titled "Liang Jiahe, Beginning of the Heart", reported on the survey of social practice activities in summer vacation in Yanan, and summarized the development experience of Liangjiahe in recent 40 years and the reference significance for other villages and towns in China.
