On the morning of November 23, 2018, the 2018 China Information Resource Management Forum was held at RUC. The theme was “40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up: Development of Archives in China”.

Feng Huiling, former vice president and first-level professor of RUC; Deng Xiaojun, vice chairman and secretary general of the Society of Chinese Archives(SCA); Professor Liu Yuanchun, vice president of RUC; Hu Zhongliang, deputy director of the First Historical Archives of China;Cao Bihong, deputy director of the Secondary Historical Archives of China; Ding Yong, deputy director of the General Affairs Office of the National Archives Administration of China; Guo Fei, deputy inspector of the Beijing Municipal Archives Bureau; Li Haiying, director of the Beijing Municipal Archives Bureau; Professor He Zhen, vice president of Hunan City University; Members of the editorial board of the "Archives Science Bulletin" magazine, as well as the leaders, experts and scholars of 45 universities, archives bureaus and enterprises, "China Archives", "Beijing Archives" and other media, as well as some teachers and students representatives attended the forum.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhang Bin. Professor Liu Yuanchun and Secretary general Deng Xiaojun, gave a welcome speech to the forum.

The first session was chaired by Professor Liu Yuexian, School of Information Resource Management of RUC.

In the first session, professor Feng Huiling delivered a presentation titled "The 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening up: The Leap and Challenge of Chinese high-level education."

Deputy director Hu Zhongliang delivered a presentation entitled " The 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening up: Archives Work in the Ming and Qing Dynasties".

Deputy director Cao Bihong delivered a presentation entitled "Edition and Research Work of China's Second Historical Archives in the 40 Years of Reform and Opening up".

The second session of the forum was chaired by Professor Xu Yongjun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Information Resource Management of RUC.

In the second session, Professor Zhang Bin delivered a presentation titled “Study on the Development Path of Chinese Archives Field since the Reform and Opening up”.

Professor Chen Yongsheng from the School of Information Management of Sun Yat-Sen University delivered a presentation titled “From Phenomena to Essence: Turning and Innovation in the Development of Chinese Archival Science”.

Associate Professor Yan Jing of the School of History and Culture of Shandong University delivered a presentation titled "Philosophical Reflection on the Development of Chinese Archival Science: From the Perspective of Time and Space and Interactive Views of Archival Science".
