University of China (SIRM@RUC) attended World CIO Forum 2018 held in Xi’an on Oct.25^th-26^th. The meeting gathered leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, leaders of local industrial and information administration departments, internationally renowned experts and scholars, CEOs/CIOs/CTOs, industry associations, and upstream and downstream users of well-known enterprises at home and abroad. More than 500 people, including well-known media organizations at home and abroad, conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the main line of "integration of informationization and industrialization."

SIRM@RUC is one of the initiators of China Chief Information Officer Union. Prof. ZHANG was invited to participate in the conference and served as the host of the “peak dialogue” of the conference. CIO of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd Qi Sun, CIO of Beijing Capital Aerospace Machinery Co., Ltd Pengfei Ding, CIO of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd Jianguo Zhu and CIO of Fujian Septwolves Industrial Co., Ltd Zhiyong Chen gave wonderful speeches on the integration of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up.
