Prof. Xiaomi An from School of Information Resource Management of RUC attended the 45th ISO/TC46 and 33rd ISO/TC46/SC11 work meeting held in Lisbon, Portugal from May 14th to 18th, 2018.
As a committee member of ISO/TC46/SC11/WG8(management systems for records workshop) and leading cadre of ISO/CD30300 Information and documentation–Records management–Core concept and vocabulary, Prof. Xiaomi An delivered a report on the voting situation on ISO/CD30300 and plans for the next step. This standard has been approved, and the standard drafting work needs to be completed within 11 months from April 28th, 2018.
As a committee member of ISO/TC46/SC11/WG15(records appraisal workshop) and a member of drafting project team of ISO/DTR 21946 Information and documentation–Appraisal for managing records, Prof. Xiaomi An attended related standard revision meeting. This standard has been approved, and the drafting work needs to be completed within 17 months from April 16th, 2018.
As a committee member of ISO/TC46/SC11/WG16(design and requirements for records systems workshop) and an expert of drafting project team of ISO/CD 16175-1 Information and documentation — Processes and functional requirements for designing and implementing records systems — Part 1: Guidance for records system design, implementation and maintenance and ISO/CD 16175-2 Information and documentation — Processes and functional requirements for designing and implementing records systems — Part 2: Functional requirements and associated guidance for any applications that manage digital records, Prof. Xiaomi An attended related standard revision meeting. These standards have been approved, and the drafting work needs to be completed with 11 months from April 29th, 2018.
At present, there are 17 international standards published by ISO/TC46/SC11, and Prof. Xiaomi An participated in the formulation of 13 international standards, one of which is chaired by her. At present, there are 7 international standards being revised by ISO/TC46/SC11, and Prof. Xiaomi An participated in the formulation of 5, one of which is chaired by her. ISO/DIS 30301 Information and documentation — Management systems for records – Requirements, which Prof. Xiaomi An participates in, was still in the voting step and beyond the scope of discussion at the meeting
