On the afternoon of July 11, 2018, evaluation meeting of Library, Information and Archives Management degrees conferring spot and Library and Information Science professional degree conferring spot of RUC was held in Information Building 209. The accrediting experts attending the conference included Prof. Jianjun Sun, Dean of School of Information Management of Nanjing University, Prof. Qinghua Zhu, Prof. Chuanfu Chen, Dean of Wuhan University Graduate School, Prof. Gang Li from School of Information Management of Wuhan University, Prof. JOSE MIGUEL NUNES, Dean of School of Information Management of Sun Yat-Sen University, Prof. Lixin Xia, Vice President of Central China Normal University, Prof. Guangjian Li, Director of Department of Information Management of Peking University, Prof. Yuguang Wang, and Jingli Chu, Director of Editing and Publishing Center of National Science Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Shengli Ma, director of the Professional Degree Office of the Graduate School of Renmin University of China, and Junbo Song, the graduate school of the Graduate School, accompanied the meeting. First Class Prof. Huiling Feng, Prof. Bin Zhang, Dean of SIRM, Dan Wang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Prof. Xiaobin Lu, Associate Dean of SIRM, Prof. Yuenan Liu, Associate Dean of SIRM, and Associate Prof. Yongjun Xu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee attended the meeting. Also attending the meeting were teacher representatives Prof. Jian Wang, Prof. Xiaoyu Huang, Associate Prof. Li Niu, Associate Prof. Ming Ren, Associate Prof. Minghui Qian and representatives of 5 doctoral and postgraduate students.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Xiaobin Lu, Associate Dean of SIRM. He first introduced the participants, and then the members of the expert group unanimously elected Prof. Chuanfu Chen, Dean of the Graduate School of Wuhan University, as the leader of the evaluation expert group.

The evaluation was divided into five parts: school report, expert question exchange, evaluation investigation, teacher-student discussion and expert feedback.

Prof. Bin Zhang, Dean of SIRM, introduced the self-evaluation work plan and delivered a self-evaluation report of first level discipline degree in Library, Information and Archives Management.

Then, Prof. Xiaobin Lu, Associate Dean of SIRM, reported on the self-evaluation of the prodfessional master's degree in Library and Information Science.

Next, the expert group asked questions and exchanges on the content of the report. The expert group listened carefully to the opinions of teacher and student representatives on the discipline construction and conducted in-depth exchanges.

The expert group unanimously agreed that the evaluation of Renmin University of China Library, Information and Archives Management degree conferring spot and Library and Information Science professional degree conferring spot was up to standard.
