Professor Wang Jian of SIRM, participated in the project "Plans of Archives Digitalization" of the State Archives Administration of China, together with Chang Chun City Archives, received the second prize for outstanding scientific and technical achievement by the State Archives Administration of China in 2006. The achievement of the project combined theory and practice together and explored the "Chang Chun Model" for archives digitalization, which got the consistent prize of the project appraisal experts, the State Archives Administration of China and many practice departments.
Professor Wang Jian has been chairing and participating in series of frontier projects like electronic records management, archives digitalization and so on since 2004, and successively received the second prize three times and the third prize twice for outstanding scientific and technical achievement by the State Archives Administration of China. She is one of the few university researchers who in three years successively received the prize for outstanding scientific and technical achievement by the State Archives Administration of China.
