Oct 16-17,2006, (ICA/SAE)(http://www.ica.org/body.php?pbodycode=SAE&plangue=eng)committee conference was held in Tokyo of Japan. The conference exchanged the results of the previous work and discussed mainly on five key projects of ICA/SAE (2006-2008): database of research staff, long-distance education, directory of archival education & training institutions (update), ideas of teachers’ training, specialty education and archival science research.

Professor WANG Jian of SIRM, as Chinese commissioner of ICA/SAE, attended the conference and would update the directory of archival education & training institutions on the base of 2004 version directory. With the invitation, she also took part in the archival science research project held by Anne J. Gilliland-Swetland from University of California, Los Angeles.
