Ming Ren is Professor and Deputy Dean of the School of Information Resources Management, Renmin University of China. Deputy Dean of the Institute for AI Governance, Renmin University of China. Director of the Research Center for Data Elements and Intelligent Applications, Renmin University of China. Director of the Digital China Strategic Research Center at Fuzhou Research Institute, Renmin University of China.

Ming Ren obtained her Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. Her research fields include big data analysis, human-AI collaborative intelligence, data element market, and knowledge graph construction and application. She has been PI of many research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China. She has published in first-class academic journals in information science and information management, including Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, Journal of Informetrics, Decision Support Systems, Information Processing & Management, and Management World (in Chinese), and finished two academic monographs.

Ming Ren is also Researcher of the Key Laboratory of Data Engineering and Knowledge Engineering of the Ministry of Education; Researcher of the Digital Humanities Research Institute of Renmin University of China; Researcher of the Intelligent Information Analysis Research Center of Renmin University of China. She also serves as a Member of the Knowledge Organization Committee of the Chinese Society for Scientific and Technical Information, a Member of the Economic and Management Systems Committee of the Chinese Association for Automation, and a Member of the National Technical Committee for Information Technology Standardization, etc. She has been visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Dallas, Indiana University Bloomington, Louisiana State University, and Ghent University in Belgium.
