Invited by Macao Special Administrative Region, Professor Feng Huiling and associate professor Liu Yuenan attended the “Electronic Records Management Mechanism” Seminar on February 17th, hosted by SAFP. They gave a speech on the development of the theory and practice of electronic records management in mainland. More than 200 people from 70 organizations took part in the meeting.
Deputy chief of SAFP Du Zhiwen made the welcome speech. He pointed out that nowadays, the paper documents were gradually replaced by electronic records. The electronic records should have the explicit standards as the management of traditional paper documents. It was the time that all the organizations must consider the management and preserve mechanism of the electronic records.

Professor Feng introduced the background, origin and current situation of electronic records national strategy in mainland. Professor Liu introduced the study and the establishment of electronic records management system standards in detail. All the participants agreed on the necessity of the management of electronic records and the establishment of the policy and standards.

By the discussion in the meeting, the public sectors of Macao learnt about the law, implementations and standards of the electronic records management and preservation in mainland, set up a communication channel. All the achievements would help on the policy making in the future and the further corporation.
