On April 21st, Dean Terry Eastwood, along with the Associate Professor Xie Li, from School of Library, Archival and Information Studies of University of British Columbia, came to our school to discuss the cooperation issues. Assistant Dean Zhang Bin, secretary of the School Party committee Ji Hongbo, Professor Wang Jian, Associate professor Zhou Xiaoying, An Xiaomi, Huang Xiaoyu, Liu Yuenan came to the seminar.
Professor Zhang Bin chaired the meeting. First, Professor Wang Jian, on behalf of the school, introduced the situations about curriculums setting, faculties, lab, scientific research, students and international communication. After that, Professor Terry talked about the SLAIS of UBC.
Professors held in-depth talks on the details of the cooperation in the future. In order to promote the understanding and communication between students in the two schools, professors put forwards several cooperation plans. During the meeting, the two schools came to a mutual agreement in the future collaboration.
