In the afternoon of Sep 14th, 2009, Qian Yi, an associate professor of Information Resources Management in Renmin University, was invited to attend the academic conference “Management of Electronic Records and Construction of Digital Archives, 2009” and delivered a speech. The conference was held in the national science library of Chinese Academy of Science. The main participants were the representatives of archives, enterprises and news paper offices.

During the conference, Qian Yi made a speech entitled as “The Risk Management and the Countermeasures of Electronic Records”. The speech was carried out from three perspectives, the common sense of electronic records and its management, the basis of the risk management of electronic records, and the main risks and countermeasures of electronic records in China. The associate professor first gave a general induction including the fundamental features and the category analysis of the electronic records; then combined with the related theoretical study and the practical problems in China, he discussed the risk management of the electronic records; at last, he analyzed various risks from the aspects of management , memory , effectiveness , risk, and regulation. He also put forward some possible solutions from different points of view.

The associate professor discussed with other participants on the issues about management of electronic records, the risk management of electronic records, and the construction of digital archives. He also established the further study communication plan with others.
